Location

  • The Met is located at 1,000 5th Ave New York, 10028
  • To get from 768 5th Ave in Manhattan to the Met is not terribly long distance and even has a walking route of 1.2 miles and would include a nice walk next to the beautiful central park.
  •  The location also leaves opportunity to have a nice trip to Central Park on the same day without going immediately out of your way

The Experience

  • There are many very facinating exhibits in the Met that are there to stay such as:
  • The Temple of Dendur is a real temple form egyptian times that includes a small statue and a peek inside
  • While the egyptian wing may be incredibly large and very well known there are also huge sections of the museum that contain of the Greek and Roman Art, The American Wing and the Arts of Africa, Oceania, and the Americas, which is not even half of them.

You would benefit from it if:

  • The Met always has a temporary exhibit going on along with their usual exhibits, such as the Savage Beauty exhibit which is being featured in the picture below.
  • The Met would be a helpful place for you to go to do cultural studies because they have many exhibits on past life and history of monumental arts.
  • The Met would be good for you if you would like a nice, quiet day because the mood there is definitely peaceful.
  • The Met is a good rainy day activity because there is usually something facinating there that you can find on a day you have nothing planned since it will be a joy**.
